Reading the site
You can read every page and build a trip checklist without telling us who you are. The checklist runs in your browser and nothing you tick is sent to us. The site carries no analytics, no advertising networks and no tracking cookies. Our host keeps a brief technical log of requests, including the time and the requesting address, to keep the site safe from misuse.
What the forms collect
The safety tips form asks for your name, your email address, an optional check to start with and, only if you want texts, your mobile number. The contact form asks for your name, your email address, an optional topic, your message and, only if you want texts, your mobile number. To prove consent we also record when a form was sent, from which page, your IP address and your browser.
Please leave vehicle documents, account numbers and payment details out of every form. We never ask for them.
How it is used
We use your details to reply to you, to send the tips you signed up for and to keep a record of the consent you gave, and for no other purpose.
Mobile numbers and text consent
Your mobile information will not be shared with any third party for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How long we keep it
We keep your details while you are signed up or in touch with us, and delete them within thirty days of a request. Records of when you opted in or out are kept as long as we may need to show them.
Your choices
Call or write to see what we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted. We answer within thirty days and honor any further rights the law in your state provides.
Security
Forms are sent over an encrypted connection and stored where only a few people can reach them. No system is perfectly secure, which is part of why we ask for so little.
Children
Nobody under 18 should use our forms. If we learn that details came from someone younger, we delete them.
Updates to this policy
Each new version of this policy carries a new date at the top. If a change affects details you have already given us, we tell you before it applies.
